New year, new snake.
Oops I did it again. After obsessing over Boelen's pythons heavily for the past month or so, I had to come to realization that I will not be in a position to aquire one for several years. In my pit of despair a light of hope in the form of a semi local clutch of an animal I have been considering for awhile. They are not particularly common and where a great price, so this definitely peaked my interest. After some negotiations with the wife, she reluctantly agreed. I decided to drive b.f. Wyoming to just check them. We all know how that goes, so now I have a little tangle of joy in the house. Now I could just tell you, but we all seem to enjoy the guessing game. I will give you a in that this is a species I have expressed interest in several times on here.

Re: New year, new snake.
Unfortunately only one photo turned out but here is the little guy. It is interesting how different his movements are from the other snake I own.

Re: New year, new snake.
what a nice little bugger
such a pity the only snakes for sale where I live are kings, milks, garter, and boa's. Other stuff is almost impossible to find and has to come from abroad (I live in Hungary).
I love to get my hands on that species... but so far only found 1 breeder in Italy that has Indigo snakes. No Cribo's on the market, or maybe I just don't know where to find them... certainly not available on any of the expo's they have here.

Re: New year, new snake.
Wonderful choice for a new snake. Hope you enjoy the little guy. Cribos are a fun snake. I'm happy to hear you had a good experience with the seller. I've been on the fence about contacting him for one.

Honestly this is the first I time I had ever seen one in person, let alone a captive bred clutch in my area.

I have been doing quite a bit of reading on these guys and I am excited to have the chance to be working with one. Such a unique little creature. Yeah I had a great experience and the other animals he had for sale were also gorgeous. It was a bit hard to pick just one. I took some photos of the siblings if you have any interest.

He is pretty cute right now, with his oversized eyes. I find it pretty humorous that he will become a monster when he gets older.
