recently acquired red tail boa

Hello all,
I recently ( 5/22 ) went out and picked up a older red tail boa. The person i got it from was a friend of a friend who lived in a fairly humid climet. I believe around 35%-ish ( lived near a beach ). I live in arizona where my humidity is around 6%. Right now she seams to not want to move and hasnt done much for the last couple days. I know they need time to adjust to a new home and to relax from the stress of the move but its burrowed partialy under the wood chips that were fresh upon picking her up. She jerks the part of her body that I try to lift up gently as if to warn me not to do that. I have switched out the original and very small water dish with a good sized plastic dish that she could actually get into if she wanted to.

I guess the questions would be in regards to ther jerking of the body when i try to mover her. I have started misting the inside of the cage and the snake becase I figured the dryer climate will be rough on her. but im open to any suggestions.
