Hey Braydon how come you have not replied to this post, you probably hold the world record for the number of tags every Saturday. I should explain, Braydon helps us on week-ends and every snake David owns bites Braydon and only Braydon on a regular basis!!

Never been bitten by a monitor yet, but, Invictus had the ***** kicked out of him by a medium sized argentine tegu because a customer reached for its head while he was holding it. As a result, the tegu panicked and proceeded to claw the crap out of Invictus' arm.

My list is fairly short...For now!lol.
-Leucistic Texas Rat snake got me on the hand at the store as I was deciding what to get next. That was the reason I got him.(strong feeder)
-Adult Leopard Gecko bit me on one of my left hand knuckles due to my mother intruding during a shed while I was holding him and tore a big piece of skin off really fast. The gecko was fine but I was bleeding for a few minutes.
-Many house geckos and anoles
-A juvenile mali uromastyx bit me on the thumb. He didn't cause any blood but my thumb was numb for a few minutes. They have some pretty strong jaws!
-My GTP has come very very close on numerous occasions and i'm nearly positive she'll tag me sooner or later!

I've had plenty of bites but a few of the more memorable ones starting with the first and worst of 'em was a bite to my right thumb by a 3 1/2 ft water monitor. That's the only one which left a permanent scar.
I was trying to retrieve her from behind a dresser and she latched on and held tight.
As anyone who's been bitten by a monitor knows they like to hold on,loosen up,get a better grip and repeat for about what seems like forever.
With the bite I got there was tooth to bone contact which was very painful and kinda disgusting because you could hear a faint grinding sound. It bled alot and then swelled up for a good while.
I've taken a couple good hits from a 5 1/2' retic,a 3' gator and a flurry of strikes from a really nasty ATB too.

To expand on this story, last week was a BAD week for fiesty reptiles for me. 3 days in a row, 3 attacks by 3 different reptiles. Tuesday, I get tagged by one of my beauty snakes, who left a tooth embedded in my knuckle. Day after that, the Argentine Tegu beats the crap out of me, so I get more scars all over me. Well, the very next day a 3 foot BCI damn near takes the end of my pinky finger off. I painted the walls on that one. it was a bad week.

My Taiwan Beauty snake also broke a tooth off in my finger. Took almost a year for the tooth to work it's way out.
Tis the season...
I was just cleaning cages and got bit for the 3rd time in a week and a half (BRB, adult African House snake and hatchling AHS). That's what get for saying AHS never bite! Couldn't believe a snake with a head 2 centimeters long could break the skin! Three drops of blood- incredible... Got to love those little guys that think they can take on the world.

This isn't about me getting bit but it's a rather funny story. Corey was at my house and we decided to get some old shed off of one of my gtp's, so we took her out and it lached on to his arm pretty fast, it held on for about a half hour to 45 minutes (we took the shed off while it was biting him) so the whole time Corey never flinched or anything, just didnt care I guess, anyways we eventually get it off of him and Im showing him some Helmeted gex I had purchased when it jumped out of my hand and landed on the floor, so Mr Woods quickly cupped his hand over it, well, it bit him, I never heard a guy scream like that before! sounded like a little school girl! lol, so the gtp bite never bothered him but this tiny little gecko made him scream, it was rather funny

I have been bit by wc Garter Snakes. I now keep two Tangerine Houdurans and they have never bite me. I find its rare for a snake to bite if you handle it carefully and you know it and it knows you.

LOL Joe... good story!
I've been bit by geckos several times (mostly while attempting to give them medication that they really didn't want to take)... Most of them didn't hurt, but there was one girl who latched on pretty good and that one pinched like hell -- didn't break the skin though.
For snakes, so far only one bite, from my yearling irian jaya -- my gtp gets points for effort, but he hasn't quite got me yet... lol... same for my new little jungle carpet, she keeps on trying, but hasn't connected yet....

I just received a nasty bite 5 days ago. Wasn't the reptile that bit me, it was the damn food! Little booger bit me in the finger... right down to the bone! Ironically enough it was a pet rat that was given to me... all of my 200 rats are wildly terrified of me and the only one that isn't is the one that bites me
