Re: Every Reptile You've Every kept

At least for Lori and I a few of those were rescues that we ended up taking care of for a period of time before they were healthy enough to give away but most of the list is stuff we either currently own or owned at one time as a pet or breeder.

Re: Every Reptile You've Every kept

Id say max length would be around 4 feet. I had a nile monitor but was sick when I got him and died a bit later. And i had a savanah monitor but it was a CRAZY monitor, and it would not eat anything I tried to feed it.

Re: Every Reptile You've Every kept

Ugh, should I list every one or just the ones after I got serious about it?

Before I knew better, I have killed a:
ball python
african rock python
spiny tailed iguana
two savannah monitors
two nile monitors
several garter snakes
a few anoles
many house gekos

After I got serious, I have successfully kept:
a ball python (python regius petcoicus)
a red tailed boa (boa constrictor petcoicus)
a brown phase white lipped python (no cheesy sci name)
a red tail boa rescue (boa needmebetterhomicus)
another red tail rescue
and finally a beautiful little yellow amazon tree boa

It's like climbing a ladder, exept that there's always another rung. A beautiful thing

RFLOL....anything reptile related sticks in the old brain pan like glue! Can't remember when my B-day is or How old I am, but ask something about that stuff...and no problem! LOL I probably did forget some stuff in there though.

~B~

And see I did forget stuff! After Looking at other people's lists.....

You can Add:
Dumeril's Boas
Spotted Pythons
Children's Pythons

LOL.....I may come up more yet....19 years, probably would've been easier to list what I haven't kept! LOL

Re: Every Reptile You've Every kept

RFLOL....nah, there are so many species that I have always wanted to keep and just never got around it...yet. Good thing you didn't ask for that list....LOL

I but that's why I finally had to say....ok time to just stick to snakes, it was like running a a zoo here for awhile, so now it's all snakes and the Alligator Snapper....so far I've been able to stick to it.
