Megan is a great person to deal with. I have been over to he place a few times now to sell her some dragons and even to buy a few and you can tell she truly loves her dragons. She keeps things very clean also. I highly recommend buying a dragon from Megan over a pet store any day. Especially with a sex granite like that!

Maybe I am a little confused here, but vets do have the same eyes that anyone else has right? How would they be able to see it with a "trained eye" but not anyone else? Or do you mean figure out surgically? But then, I cannot see why someone would do all of that just to determine the sex of a dragon.

Everything i have heard about you meagan has been so possitive that i wished i lived closer to you so i could buy some nice beardies.i live in alberta now (origanally from ontario) so it is not a smart investment asfar as shipping goes for the average dragon but maybe some day i will get a very high end pair off of you. after my 2.4 adults bring in some serious money to put towards a great one.

My experience is that hemipene bulges are the ONLY sure way to determine if it is a male and if the BD is plump and healthy should be apparent between 1-2 months. I have seen even experienced breeders make mistakes on more than one occasion when trying to get a female. Some males don’t show there hemipenes until they are much older. So once you see a hemipene, you know it's a boy but if you don’t see one it may not necessarily be a girl.

Don't vets use probing to tell the sex of the dragon? How young can a dragon be probed?

Thanks Varanus....it's always nice to hear that we have a good reputation. We do ship, but it is only worth it when you are getting high-colour morphs.
Look forward to dealing with you in the future though
Megan

Certainly. Just make sure you get a good shot with their tails in the air like a “Scorpion”. What we need to see is if there is any bulges just past the vent at the base of the tail.

Yup, I agree with Tim and Megan, I've been sexing my babies for the last 2 years without a mistake so far, although I will not guarentee females because some develope later than others.
But last year out of the 8 female holdbacks I had all 8 were female. Maybe it was luck, maybe not.
Here is a picture of one of my younger males.
and I have more pictures here.
