If it's a small snake you're looking for that's still part of the Colubrid family, I'd suggest a male hognose or male garter. They only get about 2 feet full grown. Most hognose you can get as babies and all ready on f/t mice and garters, while they may take a mouse pinkie, also readily take live crickets and small feeder fish.

I will be looking to add both to my life later when my MBK is well established. =)

As for the size of the MBK, while being one of the smaller types, when I researched I found that it says they get about 3-4 feet, and some have been known to get up to 5 feet. So if you are wanting a type that you KNOW will stay small, look into hogs and garters.

I have those. Actually my Hog is a female. I will be getting a male probably next year. My male Garter is awesome! Ferocious eater and crawling around his cage all day.
