yes snakes like hides where they can touch all the sides and prefferabley the roof at the same time,it makes them feel more secure

Another solution is to fill the hide with moss, the snake sill compact the moss as much as is necessary to be "cramped" but secure

This is a good solution to having the little hut in the enclosure if it's too big for the snake
