Carpet Python! I wish I was allowed to have one because they look and sound like amazing snakes. All these posts just taunt me! (I can't get one because I am only 14 and my parents don't want anything bigger than a corn snake.

have you checked your local pound or shelter? They will probably have a boa or a python that you could rehome for really cheap.
If you want something more exotic though...i lean towards sand boas, hognose snakes, or maybe a carpet python.

I'm planning on getting a few from the pound. I love the idea of getting a rescue. But I don't think I would be much help if it ended Up requiring special needs. For now I'm thinking i want to get a carpet...

Personally I don't recommend you breed a snake that has a kink on his body.

I do suggest a Green tree python, some will say GTP is diffcuilt to keep but what it take is some common sense and understanding. Watching them to change colour is very rewarding.
