I’m getting a corn snake but my ambient temp in my tank only gets as high as 70f user belly gets 85... is the ambient temp ok or should I get some other heat source other than my uth?

They get most of their heat from their bellies. 85 is a decent temp for a corn. Depending on the type of enclosure you have you can supplement with a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) or a light. Obviously that won't work if you use plastic totes
