Only the original Tigers are giants.

Most of the tigers you see these days are quite small.

The closer a morph is to a mainland or wc animal the larger it should be.

In the wild as you know only the strongest survive. In the python world this is very much associated with the biggest. Hence big males breed big female and produce big offspring. Even then only the strongest out of a very strong clutch survive to breeding size.

Also when a morph comes out it derives from fewer sources, for example the majority of the original tigers could come from bob and Fluffy so carry her genes. whereas now every man and his dog has bred tigers and cross bred etc etc and they no longer gain the sizes they originally did.
