As Rob said, keep an eye one the tail and toe tips. If he doesn't get it off, himself, soon, I'd suggest trying to help him get them off. If they're left that way, he'll continue to grow, and that layer of unshed skin will still be there and begin to cut off circulation. In time, whatever tip wasn't shed, will eventually fall off due to loss of blood flow.
