ouch

I guess I have to be a little more cautious with this girl during feeding time. She was somewhat ill with a bad abcess in her mouth, but thats completely healed now.

And now, she is acting as a monitor should! Always thinking about food, this girl has such a fierce feeding response.

I got bit as i was moving her into her feeding bin. After a few minutes, she let go. I tried a bit of vinegar to get her off, and she just bit down harder.

I only held her up like this for the photo, the rest of the time she was on the ground pulling and biting harder. Its a situation like this where you can appreciate the fact that their teeth aren't really designed for lacerating their prey. All i had were a few small tooth marks, some swelling, and lots of saliva.

A lesson learned for sure.. don't become complacent with your day to day handling and feeding tasks.

hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!
