endless egglaying????

I was visiting a friend of mine and she has a pair of leos that are having their first breeding season. She has had some really bad advice about incubating the eggs and either the eggs are infertile or not properly set up, none of the eggs have survived.
I am going to help her from this point onward though so maybe she may get a few babies to hatch. I bred leos in the past and had successes.

Now, the part that has me most confused is that her female has produced 16 eggs already since june and looks to still have a couple on the way. I never got more than ten or twelve back when I was breeding leos. Is this normal????? Doesn't seem right, almost like it's two breeding seasons back to back or something. There doesn't seem to be an end to the eggs!!!

I was hoping that someone with more experience than I have could help clear this up. I realise that this is a topic that comes up alot but I've never encountered it before. Any info, suggestions or insights will be welcome here.
