please help!!!

right hi all just wondering if any of you can help me, while at work last night i found a lizard a quick search on the net and i think it might be a gecko. its light green/light brown with an orange belly and a toad like skin rather than scales. are these found natural or will it need to be kept to survive? its currntly in a fish tank with grass (dont worry i took the water out!) what course of action should i take? and what does it eat / how often? (hope i havent said anything really stupid!)
