Hondo breedings - size does matter!

Gave my little ghost males a chance with the big female and neither had any luck - though she is not aggressive, she just wouldn't hold still. The size difference was just too much for them - and they are not small! Ghost male in the photo is almost 5 feet long but this girl is huge - hatched in 1998 and at least 6 feet!

After several failed attempts by the ghosts, our tangerine male was given a chance and even though he was blue, he was happy to accomodate - so with any luck we will have some tangerine babies from this pair. The female had just had her second shed and didn't want to miss the chance to get her bred this year as she is getting older and has not been bred before.

They bred again tonight and his colors and relative size show better here - though not that much bigger than the ghost, he is quite a bit more dominant.

Have my fingers crossed for a decent sized clutch.
