Can't Win :(

Well I switched my monitors cage yesterday and I acctually put him in a cage a rather large cage where the bars were about an inch apart. It was going all good and i didnt think a 2 foot monitor especially one that hefty could squeeze between those one inch bars but sure as **** when I left and came back in and he was gone. I knew right where he went since it was the darkest place in my room he was in the corner of my room under my futon. So I lifted up the matress and like I told you all he's become a little monster as of late so I put on my snow mobile glove and picked him up, other than a little hiss he didn't try to do anything, but now he's back in the aquarium which isn't quite big enough for him. So now I'm face with a dilemma. I don't have the money to afford a new aquarium, so does anyone know what I could do so he can't get out of those bars, or can someone post directions to making a relatively inexpensive cage, preferably in a 50.00 limit, any hardware it would need I would have for free, so if someone could tell me some instructions I'd appreciate it, differant types are welcome as well if you have a differant way than someone else who posted let me know I'll be more than happy to try multiple cages for when I get differant herps. Thanks,
John
