Judging from that track record, is a retic x ball cross really that farfetched? I mean, out of all of those, the woma python is arguably more distantly related to a BP than any of the others and they can hybridize.

Anyway....the whole issue of ethics aside (didn't we beat that dead horse into pulp here?), I don't think its out of the question, and if a retic x ball is possible, a bateater x ball probably isn't either.
I like your style of debate. It's one from a point of reason and circumspect. All we are talking about here is people's opinions anyway. As I stated before, I don't have a problem with hybrids in general as long as two things occur. First the health and well being of the snake is not compromised. Also the seller needs to be up front and honest about what he/she is selling. Those conditions met, I'm ok with it. Personally I don't have any hybrids and I don't plan on it even though I'm not ruling it out. I guess I need to think about this some more to determine what I think about certain hybrid combinations. Once again, thank you for bringing reason and clear thought into this.
