i would totally do that, but i think the resin would be so much easier to clean. and has zero chance of rot. i have a branch in both cages right now where i went out back, broke them off, boiled them in a bleach water combo, then baked at 400 for like an hour and a half.. and whenever they go potty on one of them, i replace it.. and do it allll over again.

Didn't realize you were in Long Island as well. Isn't levitown surrounded by forests? Shouldn't need to do much sterilizing. I'd only worry if you live in a dirty area(city, polluted lakes, swamps...etc). Plus the winter kills off most things in fallen wood anyways.

If mine get to dirty I just cut new one off the trees. The forest has an endless free supply. Never had a bug problem yet.

im honestly a clean freak. the thought of bugs freak me out. & also my grandfather has leukemia so he has a compromised immune system. i wouldn't want to run the risk of bringing in bugs, and him ending up in the hospital.

Re: anyone else have problems..?

I ordered from them a while ago, had no problems. Check your email you used, they sent me 2 emails. One was just a invoice the next one I got was a invoice with a thank you and fedex tracking number. It's not a link and I missed it the first time I looked for it.
