All carpet pythons are fairly similar in their habits and husbandry, with the exception of diamonds, which require more specialized care with regard to feeding and temperatures. They will pretty much all climb as they do it in the wild and snake behavior is instinctive. Mine (coastal and IJ) come out every night and perch on the highest branch in their enclosure. They also eat hanging from their favorite perch.
