my boa`s first rat
today my boa ate and constricted his first rat and without hesitation, he had a rat weanling and i cant believe the size of them tbh and now hes happy  and therefore so am i

There are many things in life that we all take for granted, But the most important things that we affect are the animals and their habitats of this planet. If we can do something for these animals like give them a home and we can meet there basic needs then we are all heroes for making sure that the animals will still be there for future generations and should lead by example.

Rat weaners can really vary in size.
Glad he enjoyed his first rat.
Mine are moving up to rats soon as large mice are not big enough now!

my boy was on extra large mice before going to the rats but the rats are bigger than the xl mice, about another quarter of the size (if that helps)

I get mine from an online supplier and they can vary in size alot so it's not a problem.
I wont wait till they are XL mice, the sooner they are on rats the better. Plus that petshop you get your mice from has very dodgy size mice. Their small mice are nearly the same size as their large mice!
Thats why I now breed my own, I can get the exact size I need rather than a choice of 3 sizes they supply
