Unhappy oooh hisssssssss

i have been leaving dremora alone except to clean her cage to get her over teh stress syndrome she seems to be in now. but today when i went to clean her cage she actually hissed at me for the first time. i was surprised but i found it humerous in a way. she is so gentle but i dont know what i did to make her upset and hiss at me. i handled her gently and came in slowly to pick her up ...i made sure she seen me coming from the side. any advice here would be apprectiated

Re: oooh hisssssssss

Are you sure it was a hiss? Snakes will sometimes exhale their breath loudly and it sounds like a very quiet hiss.

Re: oooh hisssssssss

you may be right, it didnt scare me i was kinda chuckling at dremora, shes in a stage of transition still from what i understand from all of you here. so we have not been holding her at all except once a week or so to change and clean the tank and hide. dont take that long to do and we hold and talk to her. she dont sound like she has any breathing problems. she ate that fresh killed last week and half ago til a can get in an order at rodentpro.com we will have to keep buying from the petshop and they are expensive....well enuff rambling on dremora..thanks so much for the comment to my thread

Re: oooh hisssssssss

It's not a breathing problem when they do that. Just a loud exhale.
