Thanks Cranwill, the zipper/aztec mutation was unexpected, the amel mother was an almost perfect normal pattern and the charcoal het amel dad only has a couple of abberant saddles. I'll be breeding this male back to an amel sister with the greatest amount of abberancy in her pattern, next time will tell if it's genetic and if it improves coverage ratio.
