Couple of "Prairie Chicken" aka Short-tailed Grouse chicks. Couldn't resist when we saw a family of them crossing the road en route to our campsite.

Man.. I was totally thinking the Vanan man was out cruising for chicks. Very cute! So they're slow enough to catch? :S It's a wonder they survive!

LOL! Sssshhh!! Don't let Katt know what I do after I put her to bed!

As for being slow, not really, but they're stupid enough to try and sit still and use their camouflage to stump me. Didn't work. They kinda did a run-really-quick for 3 secs then stop and wait kinda run. Typical Galliformes stupidity.
