The only problem with the coconut bark chips is that they contain a lot of dust from being compressed. I would shake them out thoroughly before using. I would also look at different ways to safely feed inside the cage as well. Moving snakes around to feed isn't the best practice in most cases, and becomes quite dangerous once they reach larger sizes.
