bigger tank needed?

Just wondering when I should change the size of my yearling IJ's tank. He's currently in a rubbermaid that is about
1W X 1T X 1.5L. he's taking down adult mice now. I'm just trying the switch to rats.

If I should indeed switch, should it be to his permanent adult home? Or should I go with a larger rubbermaid in the interim? He has a ton of branches and stuff in his current home.

Thanks so much all...
MIKE

Once they hit 2.5-3 feet, it's usually ok to put them in their permanent.

k...thanks man. but should it too be a rubbermaid for the permanent? one of those huge storage bins? or is it necessary to get a custom?

Cheers,
MIKE

Well, they need a minimum space of 6 square feet in my opinion, so the easiest way to do that is go with a 3x2 custom.
