IJCP Breeding Update

Well I haven't seen any action from my male in over a week. The cage is kept at 79F with a 95F hot spot during the day and no hot spot at night. She seems to be hugging the heat more than the male. but I don't think she has ovulated yet. She has not shed since early October. She seems to be getting bigger and bigger. The last time she ate was in late October. I weighed her yesterday and she weighs 1 oz more than she did on Halloween? This will be her first litter and from the looks of her she will have a nice sized clutch. Check out this pic, her skin is so strectched you can see spaces between all her scales. If anyone has any advice I am all ears.

If she is on the warmer side or near it most of the time, I'd say she's gravid. Up the ambient temps a tad to get it around 82. Keep it that way and watch for the next shed. That'll be her prelay shed.
See if she'll eat a small in the meantime. Some will eat, some won't...If she doesn't, that's a good sign she's holding some eggs.
I can go into much further detail if needed if you wish to call me.
Good luck!
