Something I find a little irritating...
I find the amount of spelling mistakes throughout these forums a little irritating..Soooo many people misspell very common words and you can tell they obviously aren't typo's. Just my bit of ranting for the day.
Matt
(P.S. sorry for spelling "so" wrong).

No problemo Matt ...good thing you brought this up I'm not feeling pinpointed but I know I make tons of mistakes and i can imagin how many people must think i've been raised in the woods! lol
I'm sure that i misspell many words when I write, I probably even do many sentence errors to and its a shame. I dont always check in a dictionary before writing in the forums because I dont have time most of the time. You have to understand that there's a few people here that come from Montreal and are not perfect bilinguals ( like me ).....But i try
I hope it will not irritate you if you hear me talk some day I have an accent to
Stav

I agree 100% with you Matt!!!! You would think that when people learned how to type, they also learned how to spell. How hard is it to slow down a little and read what you just typed BEFORE you hit the submit button?!?!? I'm just glad that you had the stones to point it out to everyone!!!!
Take care, Johnny.

I won't necessarily make a stink about it, but I find it difficult to take advice or suggestions from someone that can't even spell.

I know what you mean. The thing is, our typing is what represents us on online. If you present yourself poorly (with poor spelling) it can reflect badly on yourself. :/

some of the spelling is so bad and then people say i hate school blah blah blah stay in school so you all can learn to spell and correct the grammar and spelling mistakes

I can not even believe you all had the audacity to even post this crap. Do you ever consider that there are people out there that just can not spell? And that you might be hurting their feelings. I will tell you that I know a few people that I am sure none of you could ever touch with a 10 foot pole as far as herping goes that were never formally educated. This is the most absurd and insulting bash post I have ever read and I have been here a long time. Do you honestly have nothing better to do?

I don't think that's the point... Sure, not everyone can spell anthropomorphize or colOmbian correctly, but in those cases the posts are always legible. The ones that irk me are those that are full of types (honestly, how hard is it to read over a post)... or when people don't PUNCTUATE. When posts are impossible to read, I don't read them. It's simple as that. If people can't take the second to type "you" and not "u" or a simple comma, or if they can't look over their posts and correct the major typos, I just can't be bothered to sit up close to the screen, squint my eyes and try to make sense of the whole mess.
Like Youkai said... the way you write is the way you represent yourself online. If you type like an idiot then you're going to be perceived as such. It may not be true, and in some cases people prove their intelligence otherwise, but sometimes, there's no other deduction to be made.
I'm sorry to go on and on, but that type of thing bothers me quite a bit. Not so much anymore because I just overlook the posts I can't read, of course.
My apologies to anyone who ACTUALLY can't spell. lol :P
