Simon, the pic of her under the scrub is as he was found (I probably should have posted it first) and I coaxed her out for a pic against the sand. Never buzzed until she had enough of our intrusion. We thanked her for the pics (I needed one for my album)and put her right back. I could have just sat there with her for some time and enjoyed the view.

that must have been a really calm one then. Last time I saw a rattler it started rattling before I even found it....lol...it was actually the noise that made me find it...hahahah
i didn't take any pics as I wasn't even going out trying to find herps...but it was impressive! I love finding snakes out in the wild~ especially when it's a rattler~
I really like the photo of her under the bush. She's really nice looking!
