ummm I would have said it looks similar to a water snake, the face and all, and the striking reminds me of the water snakes down here. I know hognose snakes would rather play dead than bite, and they dont really strike with their mouth's open so it cant be one of those. But it sure does resemble a melantistic garter or ribbon snake of some sort or maybe a racer. Let us know Jordan!!

I think it's much too thick to be a ribbon. The face is way different than a garter's, too. I'm gonna say Black eastern hognose, just because it's so similar to the pic by mk-ultra. -TR

Odd,
I hesitate on 2,
northern water snake
and a racer.
but the northerns, have some patterns on them and this one doesn't or it doesn't show in the pics.
