Does anyone ride a Motorcycle?

I have had a few bikes as well. My first was a Honda 400 Custom. Then I had a Yamaha 350 something or other. Then was my 450 Kawasaki LTD (my fave til I blew it up !!! LOL). Last one was another LTD tho a bit smaller (400??). Am looking to get a 550 or 650 Shadow or Maxim next year. All of these would have made greater starter bikes. Small enough to pick up by yourself (that's a big deal to a 5'6" female; LOL); easy to work on; not expensive to buy or run & all were not top heavy but rather were lowrider styled bikes with excellent balance (also important to us small to average size women !!!). I would recommend any of that style to start with. Maybe a bit bigger model for a gent tho !! Happy puttin' !!

I think I started riding when I was 6 and the list of bikes is too long to post here. Everything from singles to multis from 50 cc to 1000 cc and after 36 years I am still walking and talking. My current is an 2001 HD Sportster, that I wish I has more time to drive. Here's my baby. I may consider selling it though.

I also agree that you should never start on a crotch rocket. Way too much bike, will get you in trouble or killed. Get a bike you can learn on first, as there is a lot more to riding than just making the thing stop and go. Find a nice cheap used bike 500cc is ideal. And remember, just like with snakes, there are two types of motorcycle riders, those who have dropped it (crashed) and those who are going to.

i wish i had a bike! i am going to buy a gsx 750 when i get
out of the marine corps. i want a harley, but that is too much money for me right now. maybe after a year or so as a civilian,

I love bikes, I mean you have to love them all. I have a 02 suzuki gsxr 750. I wouldnt trade it for the world. Just be safe man, thats all i have to say. Here in orlando its crazy riding a bike but i love it to much to give it up.

I Used To work in a Bike parts shop ripping apart Old bike and parting them out The owner did Some custom Work on harley's on the side as well I have ridden My fair share of bike's And by far super bikes Are the most fun (although the V-rod has a Slightly modded super bike engine in it so it Flys) A ninja maybe what you want But you have to respect the bike Because if you give it a chance it will kill you .super bikes arent fun to drive in traffic jam's either Since You lean to turn and they dont ride right unless your past 100 or so Flying down the highway is where you want to ride but in the city its no fun Keep that in mind

R1's are safe rides dude... I personally dont own a bike, probably wont, but I have driven amny dirbikes ranging from 50 CC's to 250CC I think it was... I've had a pretty bad accident on my buddy's old 90 CC Suzuki X-Country bike before... and since then I haven't mounted on a bike with a motor, except my ATV, but my babies got four wheels, not two I find it easier to ride

dozer an R1 is not that safe of a ride. top speed is 320 km/h. if this is a safe ride then what isn't? chow
