Boa Water Bowl

I recently acquired a boa (first one) and I have some questions regarding her behavior. She likes to sit in her water bowl a good amount which displaces water all over the tank, I've checked her over and over for mites and found nothing. Husbandry is perfect, but her belly is starting to get pretty pink so I'm thinking that she's about to go into a shed, right? I also think I need to get her a new water bowl as hers is a heavy ceramic type bowl and I didn't expect her to lay in it as much as she does, so it's a little small for her (shes about 4 feet long). Should I get a bigger one or just not fill it up as much?

Re: Boa Water Bowl

Yes get a bigger one. Some soak lots and some don't but either way it should be big enough to soak their entire body
