Not so fast, it might be something more than just docile. And normally the only defence mechanism for them is to strike or make a break for it. What kind of temperatures are you getting?(day and night), what are you feeding it? Does it pass waste? When you have it out, describe its movements as best you can: does it activley move around before coiling up? Does it open it's mouth at random times and can you notice any mucus in it's mouth? Does it look like it's in any kind of discomfort anywhere in the body? Can you hear it breathing strange(weezy sounds). Do you handle it often? if so how often?Sorry for all the questions, but I've worked with several coastals over the past years and this one sounds a little odd to me. I'm assuming you have it set up properly: appropriate size tank, hide spots, heat source, waterdish etc. Again, try and describe it a little more specific and I'll do my best to come to some sort of conclusion.
