Ringed Caresheet?

Hey guys,

I'm preparing myself for another addition and researching all the snakes I have in mind, either BCI, ATB, another Spotted, or a Ringed Python.

Three out of four of those, I know the care like the back of my hand

But Ringed Python care information on the internet and in my python books seems to be slim to none.

For one I'm getting average size the information I AM seeing is adults vary from 3-7', that's ALOT of variation...

I know that they like high humidity however also require ventilation and cannot have WET conditions. Benefit greatly from humid hides as they are a thin skinned and have problems shedding if conditions are too dry.

I've also heard that they enjoy burrowing and are a terrestrial species.

These are the things I cannot find:
What are the temp requirements for ambient and hot spot?

What length enclosure am I looking at? (which I would know if someone could tell me an adult size)

In comparison to other snakes, what size are the adults? For example, do they become about the size of a BP? Because that's what the pictures online look like

What price are we looking at generally speaking for a young one in Canada?

Any help would be greatly appreaciated. I'm sure Stav will have info since I saw on the classifieds some gorgeous babies.

I have 2 right now. They shed more than any other snake I have ever seen. They also grow fairly slow. Cool little snakes though.

Its about the sizes. Males are smaller than the females. They reach a lengh of about 3' to 4' and the females 4' to 6' , 5' being a standard. For girth they are about the same size as a big adult cornsnake. About 1 1/2" 2 1/2" in diameter.

The humidity requirments are not any different from other snakes. As I always say, if a snake sheds in one piece then the humidity in its cage is ok. You can set the proper humidity by giving them bigger or smaller water bowls. And by making less or more holes in the container. They must always have a water bowl at all time.

I'm keeping mine in three foot long rubbermaids , about 6 inch deep. The ones with the rounded sides. In there they live, eat & breed and lay. There is plenty of room for them. For the babies i use smaller size rubbermaids to. As substrate I use what i use for all my snakes which is newspaper. I dont have any hides in fact i never saw them hide. This is probably due to the fact that their container is in a rubbermaid rack and it provides lots of shades. For the temps, 27-28 is ok. I dont have any hot spots I heat the whole room for all the snakes Boas or Pythons.....
