food for thought
im sick of going to the pet store and paying for pinkies , but ive had mice before with really bad results id like to breed them and take their babies but the Smell and changing the bedding sucks!
Has anyone perfected a way to breed mice that's not hard on my nose and is cost effective? im open to all ideas , i just feel if i could produce the food myself i save money and spend it towards the snakes ie living space ,time, travel, books-etc if youve successfully dealt with this issue let me know.

Re: food for thought
If you want to breed them you deal with the scent and maintenance. No magic method to change it..

Re: food for thought
What they said. Pinkies bought in bulk are pretty cheap. Either find a local reptile expo or order online from somewhere like RodentPro

One hundred pinkies from rp is $32.00 Plus shipping if you need them shipped.

Re: food for thought
I just bought 275 pinks to fuzzies from Layne Labs for $105 shipped. If they will eat them, bulk F/T is definitely the way to go!

Re: food for thought
To breed mice, and make it worth the time, money, and smell - you'd need a massive collection, or you're a breeder. As everyone else said you should order online in bulk, or buy at an expo. I keep mice 6-8 months frozen no problem, so I only order twice a year. That offsets the shipping, and crucifies the pet store price as well. Good luck.
