savannah book by bennett

I read the new sav book by daniel bennett. ALL sav and other monitor keepers need to read this too. monitor keepers lack the natural history and unnatural history of imported monitors. this book gives great insite to the sav from collection to shipping by the thousands. the captive husbandry areas touch base with modern sav keeping, unlike the other books written about the savannah which were out dated, and or describing a different species (albigularis) altogether.
daniel's website mampam.com has a page where the book can be ordered from. -john a

Fantastic publication!! I picked this up perhaps a day ago, and it's been read cover to cover twice already. Both RAVI TAKOORDYAL and Bennett have done a beautiful job recreating natural history as well as offering insightful information on these misunderstood animals' captive husbandry.
Way to go guys!! Keep up the fantastic work, especially your captive breeding, Rav.

Thanks for the feedback

Hi guys

Thanks for the feedback on the book. Glad to know that it is an interesting read for some keepers.

We tried to make a book that covers some of the more modern husbandry methods as well as factual natural history.

If anyone is interested the book can be ordered from my site as well.

Thanks and best regards

I've always thought Ravi's website www.themonitorspot.com is one of the most informative sites on the web for monitor captive husbandry, now he's put some of it on paper(I love reptile books)
I can't wait to get my hands on it!...should be some excellent info in there.

I urge everyone with an interest in monitors to grab a copy!!!! :grab:

....and I haven't even read a word of it yet...

Hi guys

I will have copies available at the next Reptile Show in February.

There is a section on cages as well that some might find interesting.

See you all soon

I had a glance through it yesterday and was very impressed and excited to see such a good Varanid publication. I need to slow down the pace a little so I can have a chance to read it through in full

Congratulations on a job well done Ravi and Daniel!

PS- I particularly like the picture(s) of Ravi's eggs hatching.......the incubation container of the pro's

Sorry, apparently I lost the pics of my containers in my recent PC crash..........
