Question about Corn Snake Poop

What is it supposed to look like? Sorry if this comes out sounding a little dumb but I came home from school and was watching my corn snake roam around. He then decided that he needed to poop. Well I looked at it and it was almost totally liquid? Is this normal for a baby corn snake? If not what do I have to change to make him have a good poop. He ate yesterday right in the morning.

That doesnt sound like poop. It sounds more like urate. Corns usually take about a week after feeding to poop.

when hatchlings feed on mice pinkies, rat pinkies, rat pups they tend to do very runny poo mate

once they get onto eating prey with fur on them,it sorts itself out

if your really worried post a pic,as i'm sure its nothing to worry about

cheers shaun

Re: Question about Corn Snake Poop

ok may be it was poop from an earlier feeding. It can be soft. See how the next few times turn out. If he was fed yesterday expect another one next week. I wouldnt worry about it just yet. You'd be surprised at just how hardy Corns are.

Re: Question about Corn Snake Poop

Okay thanks. I was kind of worried because I thought it would look kind of like my geckos. My dad said almost the same thing. He said that it just might be because he is kind of stressed still and he said to just wait till next time.

Re: Question about Corn Snake Poop

I really hope so. I really wish I knew his age. Tomorrow when I handle him I will probably measure how long he is and post a thread so we can guesstimate how old he is.

Re: Question about Corn Snake Poop

I've noticed with my corn, he leaves a lot of fluid, but also can leave brown turns...but mostly seems to leave things that look almost like owl pellets...like hair, and stuff. Corns don't digest every single part of their food item like ball pythons do, so i think their poo varies on what they're fed. The store may have been feeding him BUGS...it's true, they do that to save money or because they're ignorant.
Or, could have just been a weird poo : )

I have noticed that my corn poos the very next day after eating. Every time!
Obviously it's the previous meal, not the one he was just fed. So, today would make sense to me if he's pooing since you fed him yesterday : )
