Iowa Reptile Show and Sale, Des Moines IA
I needed to go to Omaha to pick up a BP and get snake food. Gary (exwizard) told me there was a reptile expo in Des Moines this past weekend that he was going to be at, it worked out so I drove out to Des Moines, picked up the snake food from him, then drove back to Omaha and picked up the BP. Took some pictures while I was there. There were a bunch of snakes I wish I took pictures of that I didn't, among them were: Ivory BP that looked Pied (white head, random bits of coloration), 2 adult Dumerils boas, an adult BCI, baby burmese pythons (they were awesome, SO wanted to take one, or 4, home). But here's the ones I did take pictures of!
cute little baby tortoise
spotted python
this carpet was super inquisitive, crawled all over the three of us
the carpet on my friend Michael
back on me
what's up there?
oh hai

my brother holding him, he's now addicted to carpets and is planning on getting an IJ in the spring
this guy had some cool set ups, just wish he didn't have 4 or 5 bps in one enclosure
one year old male burm, this guy was super docile, the man and woman behind me had just purchased him and were kind enough to let me hold him for a bit.
a nippy hog island female, she's a big girl and the breeder said she was going to be breeding soon
GTP for sale

headed home...

other things that I saw that I wish I had taken pictures of:
TONS of tarantulas and mantids
geckos
a uromastyx
pacman frogs
red eyed tree frogs that I will have eventually
tons of cool BP morphs, one breeder brought only albinos, het albinos and axanthic, and het axanthic balls. They had some stunning BPs.

Yeah that nic was at our table. She does live up to that label. Im glad you had a good time Kyle. I know I sure had a blast. I acquired one of the 2 adult dums in a trade after the show and we were cleaned out of all our rats and mice in the van. What a day!

WOW that's impressive, you guys had a ton in there!
Those dums were awesome, super docile and really inquisitive. It was cool to get to see them up close and in person.
I'm debating if I should go to the KC show this Sunday, not sure if I want to use the gas, especially considering that ticket... I can do it on a single tank of gas, but the car I'll take this time isn't the most comfortable...
