I finally got my Ball Python! Whooo Hooo!! I picked him or her up today after work. That also happens to be one of my questions.... How in the world can you tell the sex of your snake?
Anyways I will post some pics when I get some time. I am really glad I researched Balls for about 3 months before purchasing one!
Just wanted to share.
Congratulations!!! Ball are great snakes to own and it's good that you did some research before getting one. As for the sexing, it's done by probing usually by breeders and vets. You can always ask whoever you got it from, maybe they know, if not one day take it to the vet to find out for sure.
Good luck with your new baby!

Congrats on your new addition! As for sexing balls, when they are hatchlings they can be "popped", and when they are larger (as well as hatchlings) the only way to be sure is to probe them. Both these are very delicate procedures and should be performed by someone with experience, or someone (such as a vet or breeder) will assist you in a hands-on lesson so you can learn how to do it yourself.
