Re: Finaly!!!
Yeah, it's relieving to see them feed they go without eating, or move or whatever, it's good.

Re: Finaly!!!
share with us for future reference what you tried differently this time...my 2 year old female BP went 3 weeks off feed and I finally tried a Live Md Mouse and she fed. I tried for 3 weeks with different colored small rats and even tried male/female differences. The live mouse worked because I think it reminded her instincts more of an ASF.......share with us your struggle and follow through.

3 weeks is nothing to worry about, I've had snakes go off feed for almost a year without any issues, and others have had longer.
Colour/gender have nothing to do with it, just wait they will get hungry.

Re: Finaly!!!
I've done some extensive research and in a bunch of the books I've been reading it states that the African Soft Furred rats are the natural diet of a BP.......

Re: Finaly!!!
this would be a first hearing that the ASF is not the natural diet of a BP.....do you have any research stating this? I don't want to be passing on bad information......

Re: Finaly!!!
"Ball pythons DO NOT eat African Soft Furred Rats.
Wikipedia (the preeminent source of knowledge for the lazy and feebleminded) and you, for quoting them, are wrong. Gasp!!! Natals, or African Soft Furred Rats, despite their name, are indigenous to Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Ball pythons are indigenous to West Africa. To save you from having to go back to Wikipedia; they are thousands of miles apart"
