bathing in water is one of the signs of having mites. hopefully he doesn't have any :x

Bathing in the water is also a sign of low humidity. It might be a bit dry for him.
It gets so dry in Colorado that this last winter my oldest ball, also named Lucky BTW, would sit in his water also. I checked him for mites and he didn't have any.

like i said before she may not have any visible mites but she could have some under her scales any CL reptiles get treated the moment they come through my door better safe then sorry

sorry Guys, just want to get this question out since it is a little bit related. my BP soaks for 1.5 days when she is in shed is this normal or do i have to check for mites?
also, any tips on checking for mites it is so difficult to see them with all the dark patterns in my BP.

He just shed before I brought him home, they told me he hadn't had any water in 3 weeks, probably why he wanted to go for a swim? I'm trying to be civil here, I'm doing the best I can for him, sorry that I didn't get all my info from u guys, I got my info off the all mighty net, apparntly that was wrong....He's not dying, he's actually is way better hands now then what he was....just give me a break here....

please be civil, I am no expert on Royals or any snake for that matter. I do think you should bring your new addition to a vet, just for a little check up ? as you would if you rescued a dog or a horse right?

No vet here that does snakes, he's fine.....I've checked him out....if he don't eat for me in the next couple days then I may travel....all's good, thanks....

no vet? = not good if your guy gets sick lol
if you just got him last night i wouldn't attempt a feed for a week or soo possible regurgitation and you do not need that
