Some ball python are "active" and some (most) prefer not to be. Congratulations, you've got an active ball python.
She may also be stressed out when you handle her (as ball pythons aren't the best snakes for a "busy fingers' owner).
Try leaving her alone and not handling her for a while and come back to her in say two weeks' time.

i thought leaving them alone when they try to bite only taught them to bite more...

your maybe getting mixed up with carpet python hatchlings mate.they get handled more often to try and get through to them your not going to eat them,so your not a threat.as said if yours snakes just irratated then letting it chill out for a bit might do the trick.
cheers shaun

Re: Can someone please help me

No not really, If they are irritated a "cool down" period is helpful.

Our BP only gets taken out for a brief handling about twice a month, and he is very calm and easy to get along with.

Constant handling is very stressful to reptiles.

Most snakes live very secluded lives and rather prefer not to be fondled and molested at all yet alone regularly.

It really depends on the snake. I have a ball python who never even hisses at me at is usually only handled for cleaning. I have a few that are handled about the same amount that hiss a bit. Other ball pythons think it's always feeding time or are really upset when disturbed.

Each snake has it's own individual temperament, it's up to us to adjust to them.

Why must we do this? What benefit to the snake does this have?

Re: Can someone please help me

yeah like everyone else said, probably just an active snake who doesn not like to be handled, most snakes just tolerate handling and doing this too much will stress it out

They're snakes not kittens or puppies.
Snakes are not, nor will they ever be domesticated animals.
You are dealing with a wild animal. One that reacts solely on instinct, unlike Fluffy and Fido who have been domesticated for 3000+ years.

If it is that snake in your avatar picture then it is probably just starving. That snake looks extremely thin.

What size prey items are you offering? Do you know how old the snake is or its weight?

Re: Can someone please help me

Actually, it's a legit question. There isn't a reason to really "adjust them".

Adjust to them.

It's in the best interest of the snake to adjust to them.

We are not going to "reprogram nature" and make them adjust to us now are we? XD
