Can't resist bragging

Pretty proud of myself. Hello, I'm new and junk, I put this together myself, and I still need to build another so that I can get rid of the tanks everywhere. I have a 5' male RTB, 6' female RTB, a 2' male RTB, a 3' male Ball, a 5' male White-lipped python, and now a bitchen little yellow Amazon Tree Boa.

There's temperature control behind and underneath the structure, the only thing that's not automated is the humidity.

I don't have any decent shots of the White lipped python yet, he's shedding now and we'll get him out later for some.

Re: Can't resist bragging

Thanks! I'm somewhat new. I've had snakes in my youth, could have done better with them then, wound up killing a couple so I hung it up.

Years went by and I had a big paycheck, so I got myself a little "pet store style" ball python and it went from there, like a fireworks factory on fire.

The top has a ball on one side, and a RTB on the other side. The middle is occupied (currently) by a White lip (brown), and the bottom lives a 6' RTB who has her (hopefully) lover, a 5' male RTB, come visit periodically.

In total, it cost about $400 to build, 1/4 plexiglass on the doors, Oak trim. It measures 6'h x 2'd x 4'w. There is a 11" maintenance space underneath with a space heater that draws air in from the side and forces warm air up a 2" space in the back. It's fairly effective in keeping the place a nice balmy 84(f). They all have hot rocks (I KNOW, I don't have a better solution, yet, though) for basking. They need individual heat lamps, but I don't know how to make that work in there.

Took about a full week of building on it after work, including full days on the weekends.

Now, I need to build another.

You could build a small box inside the cage to set a small light dome inside. Have wire on the bottom of it to keep the animals from getting inside. Its what I did on mine works well.

Yep, I can see it. I was thinking of how to put a light at the top and not letting the poor bastards burn their face. A box around the light and quarter inch wire on that.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that.
