Yes it's black tree. I really like their temperament and curiosity. I keep them in 2X2X6. I own them since last fall. They are bit nervous but i accept them like that. They feed really well on roaches, pinky rats and boiled eggs with shell. I get them from a friend. Maby you can ask my friend Steeve if he get some available at the moment, he always have top quality monitor.

I am also looking for a black tree monitor! I found one at the pet store I work at and fell in love immediately. I've been strongly desiring one since! May I enter this conversation (I just joined, don't know the rules)? I'd like to know more.

Already visited there. That's how I found this link. I know how to take care of them as well. Like you, I want to know where I can get one.
The one here, to buy him and keep him happy, is a minimum of 2000$. I'm trying to find a healthy, perhaps even younger monitor for slightly less than 2 grand....

I sold my last beccari’s at $300ea or $500 sexed pair, none left but will have more soon.
IMO they are as tough as any monitor.

Has there been a quota issued for V. beccarii this year? I have heard there wasn't, but am not sure if this is true or not. I suppose that they will and can still be exported by being labeled as CB, just as we see with macraei and prasinus. Just curious....

Thank you, Steeve!! I really appreciate it. I adore these animals. Is it possible to put a hold on a male? I guess one never knows the hatchlings' genders until awhile after. If at all possible, of course. I will privately give you my phone number as well, so you can contact me when you get the hatchlings.
Thanks again!
Rose.
