tank humidity

Hello!

I moved my little ball "Eight" into a tank last night. All my snakes are in rubbermaids, and Eight was in one too. But for once I want a nice tank set up to look at!

And of course, humidity is just not working. I have a towel placed over 3/4 of the top but still I am having trouble keeping the humidity above 50. I have two water dishes but thats not helping much.

Will he be alright if I use a humid hide box in this tank? Or should I just ditch my lovely tank set-up as it will be a losing battle for over all humidity?

thanks for any replies.

A humid box is a good Idea.

Don't be afraid to cover more than %75 with a towel.

You could even get a piece of plastic or glass or Plexiglas and fit it into the lip on the tank. Either have holes or some space for some ventilation.

You can get tanks that have vents put into the sides so that you could cover the entire top. This would work but they do cost more.

You could have holes drilled into the glass for ventilation.

Maybe raise the ambient humidity in the house/room.

good luck
