special rat request....
I was wondering if anyone has or knows someone who breeds either russian blue rats, or even better, russian blue dumbos.... GTA area would be wonderful!
has anyone seen a russian blue dumbo or have i just totally dreamed them up? lol
also, anyone here breed/feed those naked rats? I've heard they are better for the snakes cuz they don't have to try and digest all the hair..... thoughts?

My friend often gives me patchwork hairless dumbos, so from time to time my rats eat almost-naked rats. So far none of them have made their way up to being part of a colony, although I kept 3 as pets  I do hope to get some up there eventually though, as I would love to get some orange patchwork hairless dumbo rats  I'm just an orange fiend when it comes to rats, but right now I am focusing on making some very bright orange rexes.
Who ever said the hair didn't have a purpose? Maybe it helps to cleanse out the intestines and whatnot... roughage I've noticed that when feeding younger prey items that have very little or no hair, the feces from my snakes are not firmly formed, but rather loose. They were designed to ingest that sort of stuff, we cannot really improve upon that sort of thing IMHO

I like to think of the rats I'm feeding not just as food, but pipe cleaners as well.

I've got possum faced dumbos, a few blue dumbos, and some naked/nude dumbos. My favorite rat is a hairless/rex hooded cross and has been labled the "Ugliest Rat in the World" LOL!

Hey Jessy,
Here are some pics of our Rex rats.
We bought a pair of these years ago and have been breeding them for a while now they are so cute.. Kinda feel sorry for them they look so pathetic.LOL But they are extremely friendly and like to be held

maybe i'll just stick to the ones with hair.... i don't think i can handle the ugliest rats in the world.... heh
