Unhappy Off Feed STILL?

Ok, love Montey to death, but she's starting to be a pain lol Montey, as all of you should know by now is my wonderful, amazing, Spotted Python hehehe, and she did go off feed at the end of October.

So now it's the middle of February and she's still off feed. She's been out of her cool hide and is very active. But she's not friggen eating.

Of course, you can obviously tell I'm a newbie to the whole winter, go off feed, cooling, bull****. And, not knowing if this really affects anything, but she just reached sexual maturity also...

So anyways, when is it that I'm supposed to start worrying? She's as I said very active, still drinking water, to all appearances healthy, has not lost any weight, has had one shed and it was perfect...

Blargh, I just had to vent lol

Jenn

Typically when a snake goes off feed, they are fine. UNTIL you see some of these signs....drum roll please....

1) obvious weight loss, like if you can see the rib cage..etc

2) on the hot side and more lathargic than normal

3) when held feels "weak"

4) dehydrated, and no longer drinking water

and I'm pretty clueless on breeding signs...but shes reached sexual maturity that may have something to do with it...hope that helps

Thanks Jay Yeah, as I said, she IS healthy looking...it just bothers me because I've owned her since she was like 12 months old and this is the first time she's done it...and the first time I've had any healthy snake off feed...

I think she just likes to keep me on my toes....evil snake....I know her tricks...
