Question Mice

Are mice/rats that have been bred and raised in pine shavings ok to feed to snakes? I know this probably sounds stupid, but I'm a little concerned.

Thanks in advance
Shane

This should probably be in the "Food for thoughts forum" but it should be fine. I keep my rats on a layer of pine and shredded newspaper.

I recently switched my rat bedding to aspen from pine, only because I noticed tht the breeders in there for a while started to develop poor parenting habits (i.e. eating their young) and all over body rashes. All has cleared up since putting them on aspen.
