Well I got this for about 20 bucks worth a certain plant LoL...from the same person I got the BP...anyways he said this red tail is not from columbia...but from guiena (sp?) the country started with a G...and the color variation was due to this...

Wow!!! Really nice snake. I got a yearling on Monday 25th Aug '03. Person I got him from just said it is a redtail. I got an idea it is a Guyana the same as yours. Very beautiful docile snake. Good luck

Nice Guyana, Snip3r, but I've been holding this back for way too long... give this "friend" of yours a kick in the head for me next time you see him. If this dipsh!t is trading $300 snakes for $20 worth of weed, he has a god damn problem! I'm apalled that anyone could have such a stupid disregard for their pets over an even STUPIDER habit that turns STUPID people like him into even bigger idiots.

Nonetheless, congrats on your acquisition.

Yea, Im not gonna kick him in the head until he runs out of herps LoL...but yea, I almost see it as a rescue program for his herps. He takes really good care of his pets, I guess when hes low on cash on the weekends, and wants a little bud, he'll do what he has to. Im not even sure how he aquires his pets, I've heard his uncle owns a pet shop about 150 miles from here...other then that I have no idea how he aquires them, but Im happy that I aquire them LoL

300 dollar snake? Where? Red Tails do not cost 300 dollars all the time. Maybe TOP notch ones or pet store, or high end breeders, but they are commonly had for less than 200. I JUST saw one at the local pet store for 180, maybe not the best qaulity. Although then again it all depends on where you buy, from who, and all that jazz. Obviously the top breeders would have better qaulity, get what you pay for, of course.

Thank god he DID trade it to you Snip3r....because although some people think only "stupid" people smoke (even people who need it for medicine are big idiots eh!!!), you obviously will give it a better life than he would have. Congrats. Post pics as he grows.

My whole point was why is it anyones business what someone traded this snake for? All the sudden it become "people who smoke weed are stupid and get dumber" I find that very non-factual. And a huge generalization. Thank god its not that guys snake anymore since he obviously likes throw away pets, but the new owner is also a smoker, and obviously cares for his animals.

Marisa
P,S, Snip3r is in the US. a red tail is all over the US classifieds on queensnake for less than 300.....shipped.

Well what does the average Guyana cost? I've seen a columbian red tail for 120...never seen a guyana for sale? whats the difference in the guyana and columbian, and why does this make it more expensive?

Snip3r Invictus and Matt ARE correct. Up here in cana-cold they are always over 300 bucks...or 300....but you live in the US and they can be had right now for less than 300 shipped. Since you are in the US that's why I am saying where is a 300 dollar snake? You get what I am saying?

Matt K is most likely correct though. The cage at my local place DOES say red tail but we are here so its probably not one for that price.
