Yea, their definetely the same species, yours must be just a young one. I know mine is at least a few years old. How long have you had yours? I just got mine last Monday and already I love this little lizard!

i have had mine a year and a half. he was about 12" when i got him and is prob about 16" now... congrats on the new purchase!

wow he looks ALOT like my grass lizard, are they in the same familys. His head structure and yellow lines are the same as my grass lizards, thats awesome.

Snakemann87, I guess they look kind of similar but long-tails are lacertids in the family lacertidae and plated lizards are in the family gerrhosauridae. So no they are not closely related.
