female BP's bitchy before laying

So feeding day came for my breeding females, and 2 of them, who have never struck at me ever before, were striking and acting very aggressively, this is my first season breeding the BP's.

Now I know one of my corn gals gets really cranky when she is gravid and I am wondering if it is the same with the BP's??

Both the girls who were little cranks are much thicker than normal, and it's not from over eating as they have refused some meals in the last month or two, so I am wondering........are they close to laying maybe??
